Okan University, one of Istanbul’s leading universities, was founded in 1999 by the Okan Culture, Education, and Sports Foundation. The university emphasizes practical learning in addition to academic education and operates various training centers such as the Learning Application and Research Center, Culinary Arts Center, and Continuing Education Center.

Okan University offers a wide range of programs, including Medical, Engineering, Administrative, Social Sciences, and Arts, with 63 undergraduate, 41 master’s, and 13 Ph.D. programs spread across ten faculties, two vocational schools, and three graduate schools.

The university provides training opportunities in various companies, allowing students to gain real professional experience before graduating. Students who complete the preparation program for business life will receive a certificate of participation and work experience certificates, in addition to their graduation certificate.

Confucius Institute:

The institute offers translation students training opportunities to work on projects such as translating Chinese learning books into Turkish

Culinary Arts Center:

The center focuses on teaching students cooking techniques for Turkish and various other cuisines

Learning Application and Research Center:

The center provides numerous training and research opportunities using the latest methods to expand educational services through innovation and creative thinking

Continuing Education Center:

The center focuses on providing students with training opportunities and courses in various majors that align with their professional capabilities and interests

Foreign Languages Examination Centers: The university partners with China’s State Chinese Dissemination Office and has the authority to administer the Chinese Proficiency Test (HSK), Chinese Speaking Test (HSKK), and Children and Youth Chinese Test (YCT)

Important Note:

For Civil Aviation Training, students must pay additional fees beyond the tuition fees. The training fees for the four years amount to 61,560 euros. Students should pay the installments from the 2nd year until graduation. They must also take the department’s test at a Turkish hospital in Istanbul, designated by the university. Based on the hospital report, the student’s eligibility will be determined.
