What is the ALES Test?
The ALES test is a standardized exam used for selecting and allocating students to Turkish universities at the postgraduate level. It is commonly taken by students seeking to enroll in government universities to pursue their master’s or doctoral studies.
The Importance of the ALES Test:
All government universities in Turkey require a document with the ALES test results when a student applies for a master’s or PhD program.
Minimum Score Requirement:
To pass this exam, a student must obtain a minimum score of 50%.
How to Take the Exam: Eligible candidates include those who are assured of obtaining a Bachelor’s degree from Turkey (with proof), those who already have a bachelor’s degree from Turkish universities, and foreigners who have had their bachelor’s degrees accredited by the Turkish Ministry of Education and Higher Education.
Note:
The validity of the ALES exam result is three years from the date of issuance.
For those looking to enroll in a Faculty of Fine Arts or a conservatory, taking the ALES exam is not required.
